What causes stucco problems?

Water penetrates into the space behind the stucco system and since stucco systems are designed to keep moisture out, the water remains trapped causing rot or deterioration. Only stucco professionals understand the importance of the many steps needed to properly seal areas from moisture intrusion. There may be no outward indicators of a problem. This is especially true in newer homes where moisture intrusion is less advanced.
